After a solid month of testing and racing in
May, we just wanted to send you an email and let you know we are off to a
great start in ’09.
Last weekend we wrapped up our May schedule by
competing in “Asphalt Wars”, a Quick 8 featured heads-up shoot-out program
at Thompson Raceway Park. We qualified 3rd at the event and ended up
losing in the semi-finals to the #2 qualifier by .08 at the finish line.
We saw career best elapsed times and speeds in the eighth mile (4.45 @ 157
mph on a safe 400 hp Ny-Trex nitrous tune-up) and saw the potential our
new 598 cubic inch BBC motor has for even lower elapsed times in the
months to come.
We have a busy June planned. We are starting
off with a two-day quick 16 event at National Trails Raceway (Columbus,
Ohio) June 13-14 and are racing almost every weekend thereafter until the
end of August.
NHRA Division 3 Cavalcade of Stars event
at Norwalk Raceway Park (Summit Motorsports Park). We are still awaiting
arrival of more photos from the track photographers in the events we
competed at in May. Once we get them, we will send you more copies.
