Carl,
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you and your guys.
You see for the past 3 years I've been wasting my time and money screwing
around with a junk transmission. I worked on this and I replaced that, only
to find out that the thing was just junk. (Hindsight being 20/20) Well after
some time on the phone with you guys, I had a TH400 Terminator 2 on order.
Carl told me to expect a .010-.020 reduction in times. (When he said that I
actually thought "I've heard that before") I was fine with that, but what I
really wanted was some consistency without headaches. One thing I want to
mention, I've had really good transmission guys helping me out all along,
but they work on stock and mild street modified transmissions, not all out
race transmissions. This thing was acting weird and inconsistent all the
time.
I took delivery of my "Rossler", stuffed it into the car and off to the
track I went. Well Carl was off on the prediction of ET reduction. The Damn
car picked up nearly .025 right out of the gate. Damn! It actually pissed me
off. Yes it pissed me off. All could think about was how much money and time
I've wasted because I was to damned cheap to spend a few $'s more and get a
real racing transmission built by racing professionals, instead of this used
up junk I was fooling with.
Anyway, the cars running great, I'm finally getting to move onto other
issues with the car and my learning curve. I'm going rounds for a change,
finally able to put a number on the car knowing it can run it, and I'm
having fun at the track again.
